According to the American magazine ‘Hollywood Reporter’, the Miramar Creative Centre at Victoria University of Wellington is among the top 15 film schools in the world. In an article published on 16 August 2024, Hollywood Reporter states that ‘Victoria University of Wellington is New Zealand's largest specialized film program, while the MCC's emphasis is on cultivating hands-on practical expertise.’
The Cinematic Arts Miramar is a screen arts residency programme developed by the French Embassy in New Zealand in partnership with the University of Wellington/Te Herenga Waka - Miramar Creative Centre.
